The chance for an experienced Maintenance Manager to part of a wonderful team at our stunning Somerset care home, Oaktree Court in Wellington.


The impact you will make.

  • With your extensive experience, you'll oversee all aspects of maintaining our beautiful care home ensuring the home buildings and 14 acres of Somerset countryside are always in first-rate condition.

  • From day-to-day repairs to larger-scale projects, you'll have the right skills and expertise to ensure everything runs smoothly, efficiently and on time.

  • Responding in an emergency to attend out of hours urgent maintenance issues to keep Oaktree Court safe is who you are.

  • You'll lead from the front, guiding and mentoring your team to always exceed professional and their own personal expectations.

  • With your hands-on approach to work, you'll tackle minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks with skill and excellence.

  • You'll support external contractors and ensure general maintenance and project work remains in budget, excellent in quality and delivered on time.

  • Knowledgeable in the Health & Safety at work Act, you'll understand the importance of consistent compliance with regulations and up to date Health & Safety records.

  • You understand the importance of delivering health, safety and fire safety training for your team and the wider members of Oaktree Court.

  • Alongside your proven ability in facilities, you'll also bring a solid understanding of Word, Excel etc.

Trust: With extensive experience & vocational qualifications (achieved or in progress), you thrive under pressure and know exactly how to prioritise your workload and the workload of the team.

Knowledge: PAT testing and conducting fire risk assessment you've got experience in alongside a familiarity in compliance and regulatory processes within a care home.
