Sandy Soars Through the Skies as a Dream Takes Flight

At Cavendish Park, one simple question became an unforgettable adventure when Sandy and Bailey experienced their very first helicopter flight together.
Every person has dreams still waiting to be fulfilled, adventures still waiting to happen and new memories still waiting to be made.
For Sandy, who lives at Cavendish Park Care Home in Evesham, one of those dreams was to experience the world from a completely different perspective, from the seat of a helicopter.
It all began when Bailey Greetham-Clark, founder of Be Great Fitness, asked Sandy one simple question:
“What is your wish?”
Sandy’s answer was clear.
She wanted to go on a helicopter ride.
Bailey listened and then set about making it happen.
Through Bailey’s partnership with Majesticare and his work with Be Great Fitness, that simple question created the space for Sandy to dream out loud and for everyone involved to start thinking about how her wish could become a reality.
Because at Majesticare, Continue Being Me is not simply something we say.
It is a promise to know the person, their story, their personality, the things that light them up, and the adventures they have not had yet.
We do not believe moving into care should make someone’s world feel smaller.
Care should create the confidence, support and opportunity to keep living fully.
It should never be about asking someone to fit around care. It is about shaping care around the person.
The adventure begins
On 22nd September, Sandy set off from Cavendish Park ready for a very special day.
She knew she was going on a helicopter ride, but that certainly did not stop the questions coming.
Sandy was full of curiosity about what the experience would be like, what she would see and how it would feel when the helicopter finally left the ground.
More than anything, she was excited about the adventure ahead.
And Sandy was not the only first-time flyer.
For Bailey, who had helped make Sandy’s wish a reality, it was also his very first helicopter flight.
Together with Tia, Activities Lead at Cavendish Park, Sandy and Bailey arrived at Tiger Helicopters ready to experience something completely new.
Fred Perry and the team at Tiger Helicopters welcomed Sandy with warmth, helping her feel comfortable and excited as the moment for take-off drew closer.
Then came the moment they had all been waiting for.
They took to the skies.
From high above, Sandy was able to take in the incredible views she had been so excited to see, enjoying every moment of an experience that had once simply been a wish.
Reflecting on the flight, Sandy said:
“It was amazing! I had such an amazing time, and I’d do it again anytime. My favourite part was seeing all the views from the helicopter, and everyone was just so friendly and lovely to me. I absolutely loved it.”

More than a helicopter ride
For Sandy, Continue Being Me meant taking to the skies, asking plenty of questions along the way and embracing every moment of something completely new.
It meant being seen.
Being heard.
And having someone respond to her wish with:
“Let’s make it happen.”
There is something particularly special about a first.
It reminds us that no matter our age, there are still new places to discover, new experiences to enjoy and new stories waiting to begin.
Growing older does not mean becoming less curious.
It does not mean becoming less adventurous.
And it certainly does not mean that wishes stop mattering.
For Bailey, the day also became an opportunity to share a first of his own alongside Sandy.
His partnership with Majesticare is about far more than fitness. It brings together movement, storytelling, connection and adventure to celebrate people living in Majesticare homes and challenge tired perceptions of what life in care looks like.
Lily Patrick, Marketing Manager at Majesticare, said:
“Sandy’s flight captures everything Majesticare stands for. Continue Being Me means listening closely enough to understand what makes someone’s eyes light up, and then having the heart, imagination and adventurous spirit to do something about it.
“This was never just a helicopter ride. It was Sandy’s wish, Sandy’s moment and Sandy’s story.
“We want people to see that moving into care does not mean leaving excitement, ambition or spontaneity behind. There is always something new to experience, and there is always time for another first.”
Collaboration with heart
Sandy’s adventure was made possible by people who shared the same belief: that wishes matter and extraordinary things can happen when the right people come together.
Bailey asked the question.
Sandy shared the wish.
Tiger Helicopters helped bring it to life.
And Sam Teale Productions captured every part of the experience.
Award-winning Sam Teale Productions generously donated its time and provided all photography and filming from the day free of charge. The cameras captured far more than a helicopter flight.
They captured the anticipation before take-off, the friendship shared throughout the day, the emotion of experiencing something for the very first time and the moment Sandy saw the world from above.

Together, Majesticare, Be Great Fitness, Tiger Helicopters and Sam Teale Productions turned a wish into an adventure and an adventure into a story that can help change how people see ageing and care.
Because Continue Being Me is about recognising that someone’s story does not stop when they move into a care home.
There are still friendships to make.
There are still passions to explore.
There are still questions to ask.
There are still wishes to fulfil.
And there are still plenty of firsts waiting to happen.
Sometimes, the most extraordinary stories begin with one simple question:
“What is your wish?”
What would your wish be?
At Cavendish Park, life does not become smaller. We want every person to have the confidence and opportunity to continue doing what they love, discovering something new and creating memories that are entirely their own.
If you are considering care for yourself or someone you love, we would love to welcome you to Cavendish Park for a coffee, a conversation, and the opportunity to discover what Continue Being Me could look like for you.
