At Majesticare, our care homes are not just places of care - they are vibrant communities where every day brings new opportunities to connect, celebrate, and create memories. VE Day was a fantastic occasion for all our teams, residents, and local communities to come together and mark this important anniversary. Here’s how each of our homes celebrated this historic day with enthusiasm and teamwork:

Oaktree Court Care Home in Somerset
Oaktree Court went all out to celebrate VE Day, creating a beautiful and lively event for both residents and the wider community. The day was marked by a visit from the mayoress, live music, and the presence of local veterans, making the event extra special. The team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to arrange everything - from the decorations to fundraising efforts for veterans suffering from combat stress.
There was music, laughter, and a real sense of pride in the air as everyone came together to honour the bravery and sacrifices of those who served.
Haddenham Park Care Home & Apartments in Buckinghamshire
At Haddenham Park, the team embraced the VE Day celebrations with flair! Everyone dressed in vintage wartime attire to add a dash of nostalgia to the event. St Mary's Centre in Haddenham was transformed with beautiful decorations. The centrepiece of the day was a wonderful party, complete with delicious food, music, and a fantastic atmosphere that brought families, and friends together in reflection and joy.

Cavendish Park Care Home in Evesham
Over at Cavendish Park, the team hosted an unforgettable VE Day street party! The team worked together to transform the venue into a perfect setting for a celebration, complete with live music, delicious nibbles, and festive décor. There was plenty of dancing, chatting, and, of course, the joy of celebrating history while creating new memories together.
Cavendish Park’s event was a testament to the team’s creativity and dedication. They crafted a day where the community could come together in a fun and relaxed setting to remember the sacrifices made during World War II.
Milton Ernest Hall Care Home in Bedfordshire
Milton Ernest Hall took a slightly different approach, hosting a charming VE Day picnic in their beautiful grounds. The team created a relaxed, warm atmosphere with a lovely outdoor setup, complete with a surprise visit from an ice cream van. It was a perfect blend of fun, reflection, and community spirit, offering a delightful day for residents and their families.
